Devon + Brock | Mountain Engagement Session | Kananaskis

A couple of weeks ago we met up with Devon + Brock in Kananaskis for their Engagement Session (one of our absolute favourite spots to shoot). Nothing excites us more than heading out to the mountains with an awesome couple! And awesome they were... Devon and Brock were keen to adventure around and try a few things out for an awesome shot (even if it involved Kevin throwing snow at them!) 

These two spend a ton of time in the mountains snowboarding so we decided to stop at a few spots along highway 40. We started the shoot at Canoe Meadows; the river at this spot has such a stunning aqua colour and the water is crystal clear (until things freeze over of course). After that, we trekked around Barrier Lake, had some fun with the newly fallen snow and hiked up a pretty decent sized hill (Kendal still claims it was a mountain) for a beautiful look-out as the sun came down. We absolutely love our mountain sessions like this, although we're pretty sure their pup, Jackson, managed to have an even better time out there!
